Ellie Perry

Foster Care Social Worker

Ellie Perry serves as the Foster Care Social Worker at Blanket Fort Hope, where she is deeply committed to providing safety, stability, and a sense of belonging for vulnerable children. Guided by a lifelong passion for supporting those in crisis, Ellie earned her Master of Social Work from the University of North Alabama.

Prior to joining Blanket Fort Hope, Ellie worked for a year and a half at a private child placing agency. In that role, she supported foster families, collaborated closely with biological parents, and partnered with the Department of Human Resources to advocate for children in care. This experience strengthened her clinical foundation and reinforced her dedication to walking alongside children and families during times of transition and healing.

A lifelong resident of the greater Birmingham area, Ellie currently lives in Chelsea with her husband, her greatest encourager. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys sipping good coffee, experimenting with allergy-friendly baking, and spending quiet time with family.

At Blanket Fort Hope, Ellie finds purpose in a role that centers not only on placement, but also on healing. Whether coordinating with county agencies, equipping foster families, or listening closely to the voices of children, she considers it a privilege to be part of each child's restoration journey.
